    Question Animal Kingdom Lodge

Has anyone experienced the Free Tour of Animal Kingdom Lodge Restaurants? When it's available, is it only at 4 pm? Is this interesting from an architectural view point as well as learning about the native food?

I believe you mean the one at AKL of Jiko and Boma-if so, I've been on it twice. If I remember, once it was at 4:00, the other time it was at 4:30. It depends on what time Boma opens, because they want to make sure the tour is done well before it opens. There isn't too much about the architecture, although I remember learning a few little things, including something about the lighting in Jiko that was cool (I won't mention it and spoil it for you, but it IS interesting). What I especially liked was that we got free samples of food. At Jiko, they put out bread services (one or more, depending on how many people are on the tour). One time there was only me and another solo. So when we went to Boma, they asked what we wanted to try. Speak up! I did, so we got butternut squash soup. The other time, there were close to 20 of us, so they didn't ask-just gave each of us a zebra dome-good choice! If you want to know about the architecture of a restaurant, over at Kidani, there's a tour of Sanaa that focuses more on architecture-you don't have to be staying there to take the tour. Another free tour!
