    Smile Visit in October

I have not been to Animal Kingdom in years. Do you have any tips for us?

Also, what are the average park hours for the month of October?

We love Animal Kingdom! We go first thing in the morning as it is the park that gets the warmest. We don't usually have a plan when we go. Although we do have fast passes for the things we really want to do. Right now that is no an option as there is no fast pass. We like the animation drawing at Rafiki's Plant Watch. As far as hours that is an unknown at this time as the hours are not like the normally would be at this point in time. It will all depend on capacity and attendance. Hours have been changing a lot lately

There is no way to know what hours will be like in October. Currently, Animal Kingdom has been opening at 8 in the morning and closing at 8 in the evening. As noted, there are no fastpasses for any rides. Some of the shows are still closed. Disney is planning to bring the Lion King Show back some time this summer. Currently closed shows include Finding and Up.

On a recent visit, we were able to walk right on to Expedition Everest (wait time listed as 5 minutes) shortly after opening. By mid-morning, most rides list wait times from 30 minutes to 95 minutes or so with the longest waits for rides like Flight of Passage. Even when lines are listed as being 20-30 minutes, you might find that wait time has increased to 40 or 45 minutes by time you get to the ride location.

Things may be very different come October.

It is a neat place. Hope things will get back to normal. As everybody is getting vaccinated.
