    Cool Disneyland Paris??

I love to dream and plan vacations. Some become reality, some do not. So for fun tonight, I am thinking about a possible trip to Disneyland Paris next year. I have been to the Azores but never mainland Europe. Anyone been to Disneyland Paris before? I'd love to do the parks for a few days and then see the main sights in Paris since I've gone halfway around the world! I get scared planning somewhere new like this though because how do I know how to get from the airport to the hotel? How do you get from Disneyland Paris to tour the city of Paris? All of these questions hold me back. Any advice? Perhaps we should have a big Intercot trip together and we can figure it out as a group. Lol!

There is a bus called the "Magical Shuttle" (not free though) that goes from both Paris airports (CDG and Orly) to all the Disneyland Paris hotels. The Paris commuter railroad (RER) also stops at Disneyland Paris. I believe there are Paris tours that leave from the Disneyland Paris complex as well.

So you could fly to Paris and go straight to Disneyland or stay in Paris for a few days of sightseeing and then take the RER train to Disneyland.

Disneyland Paris is a lot of fun. Some rides are the same, but others are different. All signs and announcements are in French and English, so you won't have a language problem. And the shows generally have French and English performances as well.

Sure, feel free to ask. I've been there a few times.

I've been to Disneyland Paris twice, Jenn--love it!

Besides the bus transfer from Charles de Gaulle to DLP, there is also a high-speed train option; the bus takes 60 minutes, the train takes 10 minutes. I would recommend spending a few days at the parks and then taking the regional train (RER) into Paris City Centre for at least a few days. Although the trip from DLP to Paris isn't that long (about 40 minutes), staying in Paris will allow you to soak up the sights morning, noon and night (the Eiffel Twinkle is not to be missed!) The Metro is easy to use in Paris and much of the city itself is very walkable. I've stayed in Le Marais area of Paris and also in the area right around the Louvre--both neighborhoods were great and offered lots of little shops, cafes and sight-seeing.

At DLP I stayed offsite the first time, about a mile from the parks, which was okay. The second time I stayed at Sequoia Lodge onsite, which I would recommend. If I ever go back, I would splurge for the Disneyland Hotel, which is right at the entrance of the Magic Kingdom.

I'd be more than happy to help with any details if you decide to start trip planning in earnest!
