    Default Last day idea?

I made the rather silly decision to take a really late flight home (6:30) - and it will be a long travel day and not home to the wee hours! To make this more bearable, I want to think of something really fun and special to do on that last day - they'll probably have us board M.E. at around 2:00pm, so maybe a breakfast somewhere. Does anyone have a suggestion? We've done Chef Mickeys a couple times and don't want to do that again. It is hubby and me and our 19 year old daughter.

We usually spend the morning at MK riding our favorite rides one last time.

We usually drive (about a five hour trip) and on our last day, we hit Downtown Disney (oops, I mean Disney Springs, for any last minute souvenirs, lunch at Earl of Sandwich and Sundaes at Ghiradelli's. It's a nice way to spend a little more time in the Disney Magic before returning to the real world.

Some great ideas so far. Just wondered why you would want a 2P ME p/u for a 630P flight? Your scheduled time would be between 3P-330P.

If your last day happens to be a Sunday, consider doing the Brunch at California Grill. Food and service are excellent and the views are stunning.

Our typical last day breakfast is Boma. To me and IMHO it's now the best breakfast on property since they removed the breakfast menu away from Boatwrights years ago !! We like relaxing there after eating, enjoying seeing some of the animals and remembering how great it has been to stay there !!

We are in Canada and since it is International they ALWAYS make us lave 4 hours before. I don't think I can ask for a later one? It's the rule about being at the airport three hours in advance, although I've never understood why.

Oh, I didn't know Cali Grill had a Sunday Brunch! Our last day is NOT a Sunday, but I wonder if this is something I should be adding in to the regular intinerary?

I highly recommend it. At $80/person it's about the most expensive meal at WDW outside of V&A. But also one of the best dining experiences I've had at WDW. Check out the menu. Keep in mind that if you can't decide between two entrees, don't fret - you can ask for more than one!

On a last day like this, I might go to one of the parks for a few hours and then have a nice lunch - possibly at the Grand Floridian Cafe - before heading to the airport.

Not sure where you are staying but the the best "last day" that I ever had was during a solo trip with a stay at OKW. I took the boat to "Downtown Disney" (at the time). Strolled though the shops, picked up a few last items and had a great lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express. (I think I go that name right) I love their pizza's there. After a relaxing boat ride back to the resort I made my way to the airport. Last days of vacations, and especially Disney can be really tough for me. This was by far the best transition day from the magic to reality that I ever spent.
