    Default Grand Canyon

Finally making it back there in the Spring of this year. Going to be staying at a Hotel that I believe is about 15 minutes away. The one we wanted right at the Canyon were booked. This visit will be for 2 nights. The last time we went to the Canyon it was a bus we took from Vegas and got to visit a few hours.

So this time we're looking to do a short (very short..haha) hike. Just wondering from ones who have done this what companies did you go with that you'd recommend? We certainly aren't looking to do this on our own. Or what does everyone do when they have the day to spend there. Our Hotel is in Tusayan. It will be 2 adults.

    Thanks

There is a free shuttle bus from Tusayan to the park. Once in the park, there is free shuttle bus service to all areas. Rim walks can be as long or short as you want.

When we went, we found we tired pretty quickly at the beginning of our trip due to the altitude. By the end of our week-long trip, we were pretty much back to normal regarding walking. I'd suggest sticking to the rim and as Dave noted, you can walk for as far as you are comfortable.

Definitely plan to take advantage of the free shuttle both to the park and in the park.

Hope we don't find ourselves too tired at this point of our trip since we will only be halfway through...

Looking forward to walking around the rim...Hope it will be easy to at least find a laundry in Tusayan. Will check with our hotel on that too.
