Default Warcraft, Disneyland and Beaches Oh My Day 6

Me- 46 year old Disney lover who doesn't act her age
DR (Dear Roommate) - 33 year old who has no idea what he is getting himself into

Today was another day to relax and be on vacation. We had gotten some breakfast items at the store the other night, so we just lounged around eating yogurt, bananas and cereal. DR watched some stuff on his Ipad. I read a book. Eventually, we decided we should go out and act like tourists.

The plan for tonight was to go to Huntington Beach Pier and eat at Ruby's - a diner at the end of the Pier. Then we wanted to hit Surf City Nights - a community street fair that they have every Tuesday night.

Ruby's was a cute little diner with excellent views of the ocean. I had the fish and chips. DR had the shrimp and chips. They had some excellent milkshakes also. We asked the waiter where Surf City Nights was held. He told us to just head straight across the street at the light and we would find it. There wasn't any sign of it when we drove in, but by the time we finished eating, it was all set up and ready to go. A couple of blocks had been closed down with vendors set up on both sides of the road.

The first thing I noticed was the Great Dane that was part of the K9 security team. DR dragged me away, reminding me that the dog was at work, and I couldn't play with him. That excuse only lasted him for about 3 steps, which is how long it took me to realize that everyone brought their dogs to the street fair. I was in doggie heaven and decided to move to Huntington Beach just to bring my dogs everywhere with me.

I highly recommend going to Surf City Nights if you are in the area. We got most of our souvenirs for everyone back home while we were there. There were lots of cute items at reasonable prices, a petting zoo and plenty of snack foods to sample such as beef jerky, popcorn, and candy. Artists were performing at various spots along the road.

With DR's arms loaded with all of my purchases , we headed back for a good night's sleep before DS and his family arrived in the morning. I slept like a baby. DR apparently got sick and was up all night in the bathroom.
I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.

We have been to that pier but never got to try Ruby’s. Maybe next time. The street fair sounds so fun. Sorry roommate got sick.
