I'm here!

This is the last minute trip I was asked to tag along with in Friday. It's been great. Arrived about 4. Checked in at beach club I have not stayed here before. It's nice but I don't have a burning passion to return. Got last minute ressies at Cali grill. Spectacular meal and wonderful service. This is my 50 the trip and it was a nice way to celebrate.
I am here with a newbie.....he thought it was going to be like Busch garden. I didn't tell him much before we got here and he was amazed at the size of this place..the amazing feat of it all.
He is off to the east coast to possibly buy a horse so I have the day to myself. More later

I am back to reality and very greatful to have had such a great surprise weekend.

I have several thoughts I would like share.

Going to Disney with someone from a differant country and has little concept of what it is was very interesting. He had no clue what to expect and was really surprised by the size of it all. The engineering feat and vision to leave green space were hot topics of conversation. We did not do a park while he was there, there was not time, so he wants to go back to explore more. I am in!

We stayed at the Yacht Club. I loved the location but I do not have a burning need to return. It was nice but not for me. We were glad to have the hot tub and pool at the end of the day. I really prefer the akl but he is from africa and built and ran his own lodge for 10 years. He wanted something differant.

I did go to epcot on sunday. Had a fast pass for soaring. They did a great job......but I miss the old movie. It was one of my favorites. I also felt several technical difficulties made it feel more like a movie and less like the experience. I am sure I will grow to love it.

Hot, crowded, typical summer trip to disney......but MAGICAL!!!
