Exchanging quick serve for snacks

So excited! October seems to be crazy with Food and Wine and Halloween, but I just got an email today that we got our wait list confirmed for BW! We usually get the DP but we were considering not getting it this time. We have never been to food and wine, but from what we understand, you can purchase "samples" throughout the worlds. Is it also true that with the DP you can exchange a counter serve for three snacks and the samples at Food and Wine count as snacks? Hope this makes sense?

Some of the booths did allow this last year but the 3 snack credits had to be used at one booth at the same time. You could not do the exchange and then use the 3 credits at different booths.

Yeah, it seems sporadic which booths will take it. Honestly, if you're going for the F&WF it's probably better to ditch the dining plan. You'll enjoy eating around the booths a lot more than sticking with the traditional DDP. There are some things at the booths that are acceptable as snacks but a lot of the best stuff isn't so even if you could redeem the QS you'd still miss out.

Most, if not all, CS restaurants will allow you to sub a CS credit for 3 snack options on the menu, but you have to get all 3 at that time, you can't just switch the credits on your account. for instance, last Nov we went to Gaston's Tavern and got 3 snacks (cinnamon bun, apple slices and a LeFrou's Brew) for a CS credit, great BF option btw. The F&W kiosks are hit and miss, and I wouldn't expect them to allow it but it never hurts to ask. Either way you would have to get 3 "snacks" from the 1 kiosk in the same transaction if they allowed it.
