    Default Via Napoli Pizza

We have some seriously picky eaters in our family. I have heard such wonderful things about the pizza at Via Napoli, but before we attempt it, how's the sauce? My kids are totally opposed to "chunky" sauce - the kind with large pieces of tomato. Should we give it a shot this time?

    Thanks!
    Amy

Via Napoli's standard pizzas have very smooth sauce. It's well worth trying.

They don't use "sauce". It is literally just canned san marzano tomatoes, pureed. That is how Neapolitan pizza is made.

It's very good but not any kind of traditional we are used to here in the States.

In my area, "Neapolitan Style" pizza places are popping up left and right. These places all boast wood burning ovens around 900 degrees, the use of 00 Caputo flour, Fior di Latte fresh mozzarella, and San Marzano tomatoes, along with authentic Italian cured meats. This is in Southern CA. So, it seems this type of pizza is gaining popularity stateside.

I've never been there, but you could always try the 4 cheese pizza which has no sauce
