    Default Adjoining rooms

We just booked a 6 night stay at Pop Century with Magical Journeys! It is a family reunion of sorts as there will be 10 of us traveling together. One of the families has 5 people 2 adults 3 children. We booked 2 rooms for them, with 1 adult and 1 child in one and 1 adult and 2 children in the other. We requested adjoining rooms for them so they can all technically stay together. Now what are the chances we actually get our request granted? Then what are the chances we would all be on the same floor or close to each other? Anyone ever dealt with this situation personally? Thanks in advance!

Any time I have booked 2 rooms, we have always been beside one another....never have I been given adjoining rooms though. All you can do is request.

When you booked those rooms did you request adjoining rooms?

Yes we did, however we had 2 adults in 1st room and 1 adult with 2 children in the other room. They probably knew we didn't really need it.

Adjoining and connecting are two different things.

Connecting would have a door in between that you can open and go back and forth.

Adjoining rooms are rooms that are located near each other, typically beside each other with a wall separating but no door between.

Every single time I've requested adjoining or connecting rooms my request has been granted. Just note it on your reservation. MJ can help you with that. It's not 100% guaranteed that you'll get it but in many, many trips for us it's never been an issue so I think you can feel pretty secure you'll get it. If not the rooms will at least be close by.

Every time I've asked for connecting rooms, we've gotten rooms NEXT to each other, but never connecting.

It wasn't a huge deal for us, we have always been "next door", so it was still easy to go between the rooms. But, it isn't guaranteed, and I'd hate for you to be disappointed.

I am sure the rooms can be close together. Be sure to note the request, and ask again at check-in.

Yes. If you want two rooms with an internal connecting door, so that you don't have to go out into the corridor to go between rooms, be sure to ask for connecting rooms.

Adjoining has a different meaning. It means that you want rooms that are as close to each other as possible, and in practice, that might mean rooms that are next door, across the hall, down the hall, or in the next building over. You might happen to get rooms next door that also have a connecting door, but that would be a coincidence.
