Does this only work in the parks? Or can you search for something you got home without?

It does work from home, I just downloaded from app store to see. I picked an item, put it in my bag, and signed in with my MDE account. It brought up the cc# I have on file and applied my AP discount.

It's called Shop Disney Parks and from what I can see, I like it. If you're looking for a specific item it tells you what stores on property carries it. If you get home and decide that you want to get something you saw, it will try and find it for you. I have noticed that it doesn't like abbreviations, for instance if I want to look for DVC merchandise I need to spell out Disney Vacation Club. I've actually pulled up items I'd never seen before.

I found out about this on our last trip. Dangerous! We just got back a few days ago and I've already downloaded it and done some browsing. It will come in handy closer to Christmas though!

Thanks Lynn...but it also says they'll ship it to you? Is this if you are on property? Just wander through the Emporium or WOD and just scanning as you go without having to checkout? Sounds dangerous!

I tried scanning a shirt I wanted at the Polynesian but it kept saying it didn't recognize it. I was able to search for and order a body lotion my mom saw and wanted. I did not order it until after we left Disney and I was able to have it shipped right to my house. The app is not perfect but it's pretty cool.

The app has been upgraded and the enhancements are:

New Delivery Options
Guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort can choose Resort Hotel Delivery, Park Gate Pick-Up or Home Delivery from the Delivery Options on the Review & Purchase screen. If you choose Resort Hotel Delivery on purchases, you need to have a current Disney Resort reservation linked in My Disney Experience. Resort Delivery is a delivery option for guests until 3:00 p.m. each day. Items will be ready for pick-up at your resort the following day after 12:00 p.m. If choosing Park Gate Pick-Up as a delivery option, you need to be physically present in a theme park and the item must be available for purchase in that park. Thanks! I did finally try selecting some food items and they all said in store purchase only. So sad. I would love to have some Mickey rice crispy treats or Mickey sprinkles delivered to our home.

Love that they're offering free shipping! Of course, as soon as they did that, one of the items I want to buy as a Xmas gift is gone. I'm going to just keep checking back.

I was able to take advantage of the free shipping period and ordered a couple of xmas gifts. They came with WDW tissue paper and a Mickey sticker for wrapping! Loved that!
