    Default WDW vs DLR

    HI

    Prob asked a million times.

Do I need the time I need at WDW to tour both DL and DCA? Is one day in each enough just to give the kiddies a taste? Are crowds as intense as WDW in April? Please give me some sort of reference.

They've been to WDW about 7 times already, and I feel obligated to take them to the original since we will be in So Cal - even though IMHO DL pales in comparison to WDW (sorry )

    Thanks for your input!

April is a BUSY month at DLR. For a first trip, allow at least three full days. There are a lot of attractions between the two parks. Downtown Disney also deserves some attention as it's very different from the one at WDW. I'd advocate 4-5 days if you can, but no less than three.

I was there in Aug of last year. It took me a day and most of the next morning to see all of DL. DCA is now a full day if the park is busy. Carsland is great. DL's downtown area is small but still worth walking through.

We just returned from DLR. We flew in on 4/28 Sunday morning. Hit the parks by 1pm after a quick lunch at Downtown Disney. Went back to our hotel at 3pm for a nap and then back to the parks at 5pm. Stayed until 11pm that night. Monday thru Thursday we were there an hour before opening and always went back to our room each afternoon for a 2 hour rest and then headed back again until park close. We were able to see everything and ride all that we wanted to ride and did not feel rushed. I would recommend at least 4 days and 5 would be even better. Be aware with all the refurbishments currently in progress the remaining ride lines were fairly long considering crowd ratings of only 3-4.
