    Default EPCOT After-Hours Wind-down

From the official Walt Disney World Parks blog:

    http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blo...urs-wind-down/

Just imagine, after IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot, instead of heading to your car or back to the resort, you could head to one of four spots in World Showcase for end-of-day relaxation with appetizers and beverages.

You can do just that beginning April 17 through September 15. Choose either La Cava del Tequila at the Mexico Pavilion; Spice Road Table in the Morocco Pavilion; Tutto Gusto in the Italy Pavilion, or Rose & Crown Pub in the United Kingdom Pavilion. Each location will have small bites paired with a beverage flight (additional beverages can be purchased) from 9:20 – 11 p.m. It’s a magical time as the park quiets down.

Cost is $35, plus tax and gratuity. To make a reservation, go to www.disneyworld.com/spring, call 407-WDW-DINE, or check in with Epcot Guest Relations to see if space is available.
Now, some of the comments are:

"How does this work with Extra Magic Hours? If World Showcase is open until 11:00pm, what would be the incentive for paying the extra $35 to sit inside a still open Rose and Crown?"
"I notice all these places cater to a 21+ crowd. Which makes me wonder why Disney ever closed other 21+ places over at Pleasure Island. An awful lot of money is going to City Walk, and not staying on Disney property. These extra hours are nice, but it’s just scratching the surface of what could be."
"I am wondering though, would Disney buses still be running after 11 to take the passengers back to their hotel."

Love the idea, but why the $35 extra charge? I am not the kind of person who ever pays more than a $10 cover charge to go to a bar, and that is essentially what this is. I can see it being worth it if that $35 included a voucher for 2 free drinks or so, but paying that and then having to pay for all your drinks on top of that is pricey.

I think it's awesome to be able to stay late and drink at Disney with an all adult crowd, but sadly I think my friends won't be willing to pay that when we can just go over to City Walk and not pay a cover fee everywhere.

EDIT: I just read the link, and it says the $35 includes: (1) beverage and a delectable selection of light snacks. Hmmm... Might be worth it actually?

Thanks for the heads-up Main Street Jim!
The menus for each of the venues look interesting (couldn't find info on Rose and Crown). Looks like you'll receive a flight of wine, tequila, or beer plus snacks for the $35 charge.

But, like the comments say, how will it affect EMH in World Showcase, when those places are already open for guests (I'd assume?)?

DH was excited at the idea, but decided to pass in favour of some time at the Boardwalk.

It is interesting, but really, the last thing we need at Epcot is more ways for people to consume extra alcohol. (at least at certain times of the year).

When does it start? I'd love to hear some reviews!

A rumor said Rose and crown was offering a "Scotch Egg" as the food option... JUST a rumor I heard on a blog... she stated She "Heard" that was the menu item

For what it's worth... I'm going Italian....

    Where did you find them?

Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they're NOT out to get you!

Okay so sitting in Rose and Crown after hours is just the sort of thing that should appeal to wife and me, but I'm having trouble finding the value.

    Only till 11? Ick.

35 bucks a pop for a drink and a snack? lol.

The more I think about it, the answer is clear. I'd rather use that cash to take a taxi over to Raglan Road instead and enjoy the night.

This. It does sound appealing for the extra time in WS, but I don't think I would get the most bang for my buck on this. By the time you fight the illumiNations crowds to get to your place of choice, you're really only left with an hour and a half to enjoy some small snacks and drinks at a cost of $70 (for two people). No thanks.

I'm with Quadstriker... I'd rather go to DTD and walk around with an $8 drink and listen to live music for a lot longer.
