Tomorrowland Terrace Seating For Fireworks

At the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Party, is it first come gets the best table or is it like the dinner shows where they reserve a specific table# for you regardless of when you arrive?

You have a specific table assigned, but that's kind of meaningless because pretty much everyone stands up along the railing once the fireworks starts and that is first come first serve so some folks get there early, eat all the dessert they want, then claim a standing spot early.

Last trip we did the dessert party and did not know that the seats were pre assigned and wasted an hour getting in line thinking it would be first come first serve. As Strmchsr stated that once the show begins most everyone goes and stands at the rail anyway and there is a good bit of space between where the tables are set up and the rail so in most areas you are not blocking anyone's view. The only advantage to standing in line before 9:00 would be so that you get to desserts quicker - LOL.
We have it planned for our upcoming trip and do not plan on wasting valuable park time standing in line early.
