And I have to share this happy news with those that "get it"!

So I'm about 115 days away from my next trip - my first since 2010. My sister and I are going with my best friend and his son. We're also being joined by some friends of ours from England, who got engaged at WDW in December and are busy planning their dream wedding at WDW next year.

It will be a bittersweet trip as well as my friend lost his wife suddenly in 2012. We plan to celebrate our angel on this trip, as this was what she loved as well. So when we started planning the trip, it didn't really surprise me when my BFF picked Port Orleans for the hotel, as their first trip together, they stayed at Dixie Landings. Having never stayed at POR, I was looking forward to the trip.

So he tells me he has a surprise and we can't see any of the paperwork for the trip (it was all being sent to him) and we were just going to have to trust him for a while. Well...this weekend I went for a visit and got my package so I could customize my Magic Bands. I'm looking at the little booklet inside, open it up, and there inside the cover it says....

Resort: WILDERNESS LODGE!

He and the cast member got all sneaky and worked up quotes to send to us with a price for POR - he then turned around and booked a trip for WL and covered the rest.

I CAN'T EVEN. I've ALWAYS wanted to stay there ever since I saw it at Christmas time!

How bout that pal of mine?

Wonderful, we did the same thing in 2011, told my son we were staying at POR and then booked WL

I did that for the kids one year. I told them the trip was gonna happen but we had to stay at a value and a few days off property because of money. They said they didn't care, POP would be fine. We arrived late, I had it set up that way. We checked in and just played some. The next morning I told them we had to check out and head to a hotel off property, they were acting like it was cool, but in no way were they. My DD22 is a CM so she was driving from the resort and we orchestrated an argument of sorts and she acted flustered and lost on the road when we pulled up to AKL. The CM at the gate looked our paperwork over and welcomed us home....the gig was up and my two other kids in the back seat were extremely happy.....AKL is GREAT !!
