    Default Cinderella Castle Inspiration

Not sure if I should put this in this forum or not, but...

I saw Monuments Men last night. The castle that inspired Cinderella Castle in the Bavarian Alps was featured somewhat prominently in the movie.

I had never seen it in pop culture before other than in Disney books.

If you mean Neuschwanstein Castle, it was featured very prominently in the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

It's also a HUGE tourist attraction in Bavaria. It is one of the most visited castles in Europe. It's not nearly as impressive on the inside as it is on the outside.
    Too many trips to count!
    Disneyland!
    DisneyWorld!
    Disneyland Paris!
    Coming soon Tokyo!

Pretty certain that I recall the Amazing Race using the castle as one of its route markers a couple seasons back.

    Yup.

    Quoted from another site-
    Amazing Race 20
    Leg 5 (Italy → Germany)

On this Leg, teams traveled to Bavaria's Neuschwanstein Castle, the inspiration for Sleeping Beauty Castle.
