D23 for most is really just a club that let's you buy collectibles. It's not really a discount program, like Magic Kingdom Club and such.

DH has been a Gold member since the start and has enjoyed the magazines and such. We ultimately plan on attending the members only events as my youngest graduates HS this year and we will have the time.

They have been offering a free scaled down membership which you might want to try to see if you like it. If not, you lose nothing.
