Talking Day One - Grand Californian club level

We got here yesterday at noon Arizona time. Rout 91 was horrid. 20 miles took an hour to travel. We were greeted at the door and taken up to the lounge as our room was not ready. They brought out tea sandwiches, a beautiful fruit plate and chocolate covered strawberries. DH loved those. The salmon sandwiches were the best. Then we went to Disneyland. It was so crowded. Went on the train, saw Billy Hill they were great. Went on Mark Twain then to the golden horseshoe. Loved the root beer float. Went back to room totally pooped.

Default Day One - Grand Californian club level

It sounds like they treated you like a VIP. That's great!

It seems as if the Christmas crowds are picking up.

ETA on 12/18/13: We went to the Resort yesterday (Tues 12/17) and found DCA to be extremely easy to maneuver. No lines or crowds during our time there, about 11:30am-3:00pm. After strolling through DTD we headed to Disneyland via Monorail. Found Disneyland to be more crowded but still not crazy crowded. That changed at parade time. The mob in the it's a small world area at about 5:30pm was insane. I feel sorry for the CMs trying to enforce walkway/viewing area rope offs. After the parade, like magic, everyone disappeared. When we left at 8:30pm it was still easy to walk down Main Street and do a little shopping without the need to fight a crowd.

Hope your second day seemed a little less crowded for you.
