Decided to visit the parks yesterday (Monday 11/04/13). The weather was predicted to be cloudy with a high of 70, which is excellent in my book, and it was the first day of post-Halloween pre-Christmas time. We figured it would be a comfortable, uncrowded day.

Wow! We were right! Main Street was practically empty when we arrived at 11:00am. We strolled down to the Market House for Starbucks. The longest line had three people in it. There were plenty of empty chairs to choose from in the library seating area. After enjoying our coffee we visited every shop on the street without giving up because of feeling the need to leave a claustrophobic crowd. Each attraction we visited was a walk-on.

DCA was the same. Longest wait time was 30 minutes - Toy Story Midway Mania of course. Radiator Springs Racers was closed or it probably would have been a bit longer. The Animation Building was closed (I forgot to ask a CM exactly what was going on. I think it might be a seasonal thing being put in to place.) Animation Academy and Turtle Talk were open, using temporary entrances. When the Pixar Play Parade came down the performance corridor the guests were spaced out and only one deep. It was like a private showing!

We were able to walk up without reservations and be seated immediately for both lunch and dinner (Carnation Cafe and Uva Bar).

We are planning on going again soon once the Christmas festivities begin. I'm sure crowds will be more of a "normal" size. So I'm certainly happy that we had the experience that we did yesterday. So relaxing and just a great day!
