Anna and Elsa?

I was curious if anyone had heard about Anna and Elsa from the new movie Frozen coming out soon and if they were doing Meet and Greets soon. Thanks so much!

Well, I really don't have the answer to the meet and greet part of your question. However, my daughter asked me the same question today.
While at the Disney Store, a cast member shared the story of the two sisters.
I assume the movie has to come out before the sisters make an appearance at the park. I wonder how long it took Rapunzel to make her debut at the parks.

I know I met Rapunzels and Merida (both at the old Storytime with Belle theatre) before their movies came out. I know I've also met several of the Pixar and animated feature film characters over at the Animation Gallery in MGM before the movies were released as well.

Ah yes. I remember meeting Lotso at DHS before Toy Story 2 came out. We all thought he was a happy, yummy smelling, pink bear.

According to another website, Anna and Elsa are supposed to begin meet and greets in Norway in Epcot sometime in November. The Stave Church is supposed to be getting a new exhibit as well although I don't know if that ties into the movie or not. They are also supposed to be updating the Castle projection show to add in Frozen.

There were no meet and greets available for Anna and Elsa as of last week. The gift shop in Norway, as well as other shops, had Frozen merchandise for sale.
The stave church looked the same as usual.

looked the same to me too but i think they were working behind the scenes near puffins roost.

From what I have read, they have officially begun Meets in Norway as of November 2nd.

My daughter is obsessed with "Frozen" and the movie has even come out yet.

Anna and Elsa are doing meet and greets at Prinsesse Plass in Norway. Met them this past Tuesday!

We were there from 12/4-12/13. I wanted to meet them, but the line was NEVER less than 1.5-2 hours long (usually 2+ hours)!!! I checked on 6 different Epcot visits that trip, usually 3-4 times each visit.

You could never just walk up and get into the current line. That line was filled before their scheduled appearance, and the next line for the NEXT appearance was already started (usually with at least 10-15 families already in it).

There was NO way I was standing in a character line THAT long.... especially in the mid-80 temps and full sun!!

I'll just wait until next year... maybe the insanity will die down a little.

I agree that is way too long to stand in line.

It's hard to tell your kids that they can't visit a character.

I agree... I would hate to have to tell a child that they can't see a character, but honestly, the lines were rediculous.

They should have done what they did for Magician Mickey... It looked like they had 2 rooms going. The couple in front of us was taken into the room, and about 20 seconds later we were led in to see Mickey. That other couple was nowhere to be seen, and it took several minutes to see Mickey with all of the interaction of him talking. There had to be 2 Mickeys. Why not do the same for Anna & Elsa while everyone is all hyped up on the cool-aid?

That's exactly what happens with Mickey. I would imagine, for various reasons, that would be a little harder to pull off with face characters.

Why?

You're going into one room or the other. You don't see both before you enter. I never would have even noticed with Mickey if I didn't realize that the couple in front of us was nowhere to be found just seconds after they entered.

We saw Snow White in MK during the day, and when we park hopped to Epcot for dinner, we saw her again. The two looked VERY different, and any kid could see that if they did the same thing we did. Disney doesn't worry about that disparity, and it's VERY noticeable.

Disney just doesn't have to do it because they know people are willing to waste a couple hours of their day for a 1 minute encounter. Simple.

I was able to get a picture with Anna on the Fantasy earlier this month.

I asked her where Elsa was, she told me she was in Arendelle doing her "Queenie" thing.

I thought that was so funny!
