How does the military ticket work with the new bracelets? If we buy the military ticket at our local post, will we be able to get a bracelet or do we still use a ticket? And how does it work with the new fastpass plus system?

Since you are staying on property you should register for a My Disney Experience account on the disney website. Get your magic bands set up in the account and then you can add the tickets once you purchase them from your base. The number is a very small, obscure number/letters combination on the ticket and a drop down will come up with family members to chose from. If you have not added the family members to your account, they will not be visible. Once you have your tickets linked to your account, you can book fast pass plus about 60 days in advance. Ok but do they send us magic bands or do we get them when we check in? Do I sign up for the My Disney Experience before I get the bracelets or afterwards?

You sign up ahead of time for the My Disney Experience. You can customize your Magic Bands once you book your room reservation and they will send it to you ahead of time. I am thinking that the bands will not come up until you have linked a room reservation. Mine were shipped to me about 6 weeks before my vacation. Because they are military, you have to go to Guest Services and still show the military ID to activate them even though they are linked to your band. You only have to do that once.
