    Default TRex

We have never been to TRex before and I was just wondering how the food is. Is the food about like Rainforest Cafe? I love the atmosphere at Rainforest but not wild about the food. Also how hard is it to get a table without reservations? We are thinking about 1st week in November and they do not have any dinner reservations.

The food is definitely comparable to Rainforest. Same company owns both. It's good, but not awesome.

They do a very limited number of seats through Disney. You can usually get a "priority seating" easier if you call TRex directly instead of Disney. But they also allow walk-ups and if you go at an off-time of day it's not too hard to get in.

Their offerings are similar to the Rainforest Cafe. People have reported calling TRex direct to get reservations, you may want to give that a try.

I have to disagree. I think their food is better than the Rainforest (which I think is OK). Maybe it's the selection but I like the food at TREX better.

What I don't like is the noise level in TREX.

Don't even bother going through Disney for a reservation. We go in Oct and I call 180 days in advance and all they ever have is 9PM for dinner.

Call them direct and you should get a decent time. I wouldn't go and wait in line. It always seems very long.

I'm with Rita.. I think T-Rex is better than Rainforest... and I like T-Rex more... Then again, I have always been a lover of dinosaurs so the theme is perfect for me...

I also like T-rex better than Rainforest. We've never had a problem walking up and getting a table.

Ate at both on my last trip. TRex would get the nod in the food department. Service has always been slow at every rainforest I've been to, never a problem in TRex.

    TRex > Rainforest

Food, service, and atmosphere were excellent on my last trip. Per my suggestion, my family is trying it when they go this weekend too! I'd recommend it to anyone!

Food is fine but the atmosphere is why we go. We have always had reservations but have seen people walking up and willing to wait.

For ressies call them directly. We did and still had quite a wait. We found the food to be quite a lot like Rainforest, there were hits and misses with our entrees. Hands down the ice cream sandwich thing for dessert we are still talking about.

T-Rex is MUCH better IMHO than Rainforest Cafe.....that being said, We have NEVER had to get reservations. We were even there the day it opened and got right in. We typically go in June / July / August ..... never waited more than 10 minutes ..... luck of the draw or what ??!!

T-Rex was one of the worst dining experiences we've had at WDW. The food was awful and the room we sat in was an insane asylum. Never again!
