Default Own snorkel equipment at Typhoon Lagoon?

    Hello,

We are going to TL in April and haven't been there since 2002. Since then I need glasses and have a prescription snorkel mask. I am wondering if I would be allowed to use my own mask or snorkel at the reef or if I am stuck using their stuff?

    Thanks so much!

Not 100% sure, but I have heard that they will allow you to use your own masks as long as they are tempered glass. Best bet would be to call WDW and get an official answer from them

from experience, i believe that you can bring your own mask and snorkel (but no fins), as long as the mask's lens are of tempered glass. I usually bring mine since my mask has a "panoramic view" (or two lenses on the sides of the mask).

This is good to know! Last time we did TL DH did the snorkeling with sharks alone because I couldn't bring myself to put the snorkel in my mouth. I know they are sterilized and I know it was silly, but I just couldn't do it. Maybe next to me I should bring my own.
