A Transformers announcement may be coming tomorrow and should give us a specific date as to when the attraction officially opens... Rumors are soft testing to begin in mid-May with a June 20th official opening...

Apparently there was confusion regarding some sort of announcement... Yesterday, employees in the Fairwinds Tower received a memo stating the city of Orlando, along with the owners of the building will be partnering up with Universal Orlando to be the site of a major Transformers announcement... The letter stated "all will be revealed the morning of Tuesday, April 30." This was taken to mean an announcement was coming Tuesday morning... That was not the case...
Work has begun on the side of the Fairwind Tower building in which a "skin" is being added to the building.. The "skin" will feature a gigantic picture of Megaton, and will be used as a backdrop for the Transformers announcement... The "skin" project is scheduled to be completed May 3rd...
When the exact announcement will be has not been stated, but for sure it will not be today... Sorry for the bad info

June 20th is great! We will hopefully be there later on in September to check it out. Our cousin will be there on his honeymoon mid-July and they are really looking forward to this ride.
Does anyone know if on-site guests will be able to use their resort express pass to access front of the line? Or, do you think this will be handled more like Hollywood Rip Ride & Rockit and Harry Potter?

The ride will have express pass so it should be handled like every other express pass ride...
BTW Optimus Prime is scheduled to be installed this week... At night, starting Monday night...

Simulator. It is exactly like Spider-Man. Similar to men in black. Not a coaster. Not like Potter in that its a It's a car that holds 12 that stays on the ground. You go in front of various screens and effects feel as if you're falling, getting hit, you spin a little. It's fun!

I love Spider-Man too... Probably my favorite ride in Orlando, outside of Forbidden Journey... I can't wait to see Transformers in October so I can finally make a judgment call LOL...
