    Default How many days!?

Myself and my gf are looking into going to DL as our first vacation together. I am a hardcore WDW vacationer and she was a CM at WDW (which is how we met). We are curious as to how many days we should be spending in DL that would be sufficient to attempt to see all/most DL has to offer! Any help would be great! Thanks!

It really depends on crowds. Since DL only has two parks, you could probably do it in two days if you rushed and it was fairly empty. On my first visit, crowds were moderate and we had four days and were quite happy (though we were leisurely about it).

2 days should be enough in non-peak season

Yes, there are only 2 parks, but I would say 3 days if you really enjoy taking things in and doing your favorite rides more than once. It's always hard for me to leave any Disney park. Two days just goes by way too fast!

We were there for 4 nights earlier this month. We live an hour away and go frequently. It was still hard to see and do everything. There are only so many hours in the day. That is the good part of being close and an AP holder.

We were there yesterday and missed out on seeing the Frankenweenie preview. Something my DD wanted to see (again). We will have to go back next weekend before it stops playing so she can see it.

So in a round about way... to answer the question.... I would say for a first time trip. Allow yourself 4-5 days to soak it all in. Explore all the little nooks and crannies, and all the little details. Take the little off paths and don't follow the crowds. There can be lots of little surprises around each corner or river bend.

If you can manage it. Staying on property is fantastic. We just stayed at the Grand Californian and lovet it there. We had a studio in the DVC section. Back over Labor Day we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel (on DVC points) and that was incredible as well. Two different styles, both top notch. Loved the ease and entry of the Grand. DD loved the pool slides at DLH better

Many visits. Live 20 minutes from the parks.
