With all the talk of “Gary’s Column”, do you know that the post in the middle of the main walkway in the United Kingdom is a great photo spot and a terrific place to rest your tired feet, but it is REALLY a reproduction of a four-sided pillar sundial?

Right. The family who, when told where to find me said, "What thing in the middle of the UK? Oh yeah. I just usually walk right past it."

    I have ears, you know.

Well, not really. But I have protuberances coming out of each stone face and they are very sensitive.

How am I even typing this? Gotta go. There's a kid trying to climb me.

In China, in the Yong Feng Shangdian, you will discover a weathered copper bowl with handles n each side. This bowl holds a few inches of water in it. Dip your finger in the water and rub it in a circle around the bowl rim (with pressure) the bowl will sing, but the vibrations from your finger will cause the water to ripple, and then suddenly jump and splash.

I've done this in the past! Glad it is still there. My DH does this to our wine glasses at home to make the "singing" noise and it drives me crazy...just do the dishes already, jeeeze

Disney's Animal Kingdom is home to 33 species listed as endangered or threatened. The facility participates in internationally cooperative breeding programs that take strategic measures to increase animal populations through captive propagation.

These programs ensure that populations of these endangered species will grow. Since the park opened, more than 116 species have reproduced at Disney's Animal Kingdom. These successful births include mandrills, lowland gorillas, black rhinos, white rhinos and okapi.

    Countdown Trivia of the day:
As you make your slow winding way towards the loading area of Toy Story Midway Mania, you will pass by many of Andy’s Lincoln Log creations. See the blobs of blue and pink at the corners of many of his creations? Those blobs are supposed to be Play-Doh and Silly Putty – used as a quick fix by Andy to keep his constructions upright… he doesn’t quite have the engineering part of the construction quite right yet… will he ever become a WDW Imagineer?

OK - Explain this one! - There is NO gum for sale within any Disney World parks. Yet, in the basement of the Tower of Terror Hotel, there's are a lot of old gum wads stuck to the walkways. Coincidence or great attention to detail by the Imagineers at Walt Disney World?
