Amazing Spiderman

I took my kids to see Amazing Spiderman this weekend ... they chose it over the new Ice Age movie. I was not expecting much (not sure why, I guess not my usual genre) and it was really, really good. My kids LOVED it ... although it had some pretty intense parts and a few romantic scenes (that embarass my soon to be 10 year old DS). I would recommend this movie.

I agree. DH and I saw it opening weekend. I didn't go in with high expectations, but came out really pleasantly surprised. There were some plot holes, but they didn't bug me so much. I have always been a big fan of Spider-Man, and loved the first two movies with Tobey Maguire when they came out (We shall not speak of Spider-Man 3). Putting everything into perspective, though, I think this latest version is the best. I think Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man is much closer to the one I imagined as a kid.
