Has anyone ever done this??? Is it worth the extra $$$ to have a good seat for the fireworks? I am thinking about it as we have a toddler and don't want to have to steak out a seat for fireworks hours before hand as he will never sit that long.

Just curious on what others have experienced.

We have done it twice during the MVMCP and we loved it. It takes away so much of the hassle holding a spot for the fireworks, etc. Plus you can enjoy some really yummy desserts. It is a prime viewing location and Think flies right over your head. I think that it is well worth the extra money.

I have heard many people say it is worth the price to do it at least once, mainly for the opportunity to see Tinkerbell fly directly overhead and because the desserts are very good. Keep in mind that this viewing area is off to the side a bit, so you don't get as good of a perspective of the actual fireworks as if you were standing directly in front of the castle. But it will still be impressive.

Personally, I will never do it it for two reasons. One, that anyone used to be able watch the fireworks from this area until Disney decided to capitalize on it. And two, that I really don't care much for sweets and desserts so the value wouldn't be there for me.

I think doing things once is fun, and that is what I place this in. It was "fun" to do it once, but is not on my list to ever do again.

I am also looking to do this.. Does anyone know how much they usually cost for tickets and when do they usually start selling tickets for certain months? I am looking to do this alone and really treat myself for the fireworks. Thanks!

We just booked it for the first time. It was around 24 a person give or take a couple of dollars. I called the reservation line and looked on line. It is in the ball park of 3 months in advance. Again I would call and call a couple of times so you get an exact answer.

We booked if for this trip and it's $26ish for adults and $15ish for children. It may be due to the reservation system upgrade that has been going on the past several months, but Wishes Dessert Party was only showing open times to book in 30 day advance increments (current month + 1 future month). I started trying to book for the end of May or first day of June back in early March and only the current month of March and April were open. It was not until the 3rd or 4th of April did May reservations open. I even called WDW reservations twice to see if they were seeing the same thing and they confirmed that days in May could not be reserved back in March. These go fast once available so if you want to do this check often and book as soon as you can.

hi - we just came back a week ago. We booked 10 people and mostly for the same reason. I would agree with evrything said thsu far - a few extra thoughts...

1 - It is really really nice to sit down after a long day. There is lots of room and I don't kow if it was sold out or not but I left like we had plenty of room to relax and spread out. AND... it is covered so, if it rains - you are set. As I get older (41 now!), I really loathe that "packed like sardines" feeling while watching firewords and when I am with my kids..watch out for MamaBear!

2 - The dessert was nice but not the main reason we booked (altho our 12 yr old nephew would disagree!). The selection was very good and tasty and even tho we were full from the last 48 hours at Disney, we managed to choke down a ew tasty delights! If you want the de-lish looking choc-covered strawberries - get there early! They were gone by the time we got there.

3 - b/c dessert wasn't the main reason for booking, i couldn't imagine sitting there for an hour before the fireworks (!), so we didn't. We planned on arriving about 30 minutes before they started (which is 30 minutes after the dessert party starts) - 9:30. MISTAKE!! We didn't plan on the parade just before this and so, my intent to avoid crowds was a total BUST b/c we were walking over from Adventureland. The parade line people did a great job of refusing to let us cross Main Street. I know they are doing their jobs - they did it well. Had we walked thru Tmrwland instead, probably no problem... As it was, when the parade was over, they didn't want to let us cross either and I had to open a can of "%^*!" to get them to let our party across the street!

4 - I also read here that you might get a secret "back way" out intead of having to navigate down MainStreet afterwards (again, avoiding crowds) but a server checked for me and relayed that they only do this when the parks are really really crowded and so, we didn't get that treat! We waited about 15 minutes for crowds to thin out and then left.

I would probably not book it again unless I was with a group who really needed to sit. I noticed that there is a walkway from Tmrland Terrace out to the walkway spoke that goes from Main Street to Tmland (hope I describe that well enough) and this area had viewing just as good as we did and it was not that crowded. They didn't have chairs and they didn't have fancy desserts but.. they had a great view nonetheless.

Having said that, b/c we were a large party and it is very noisy and crowded at end of the day, I am very glad we did it - because - sitting down for this allowed us all to really share the event and the 45 minutes that we were there. We talked and took pix, and had communal conversation and laughter - this is a lot harder to do when you are lined up or squished up with everyone else navigating thru crowds, standing in line, or watching fireworks with thousands of other people.

My 60 yr old Mom loved it and would vote to do it every year!

We have sat there many a times before they found a new way to make money. Same thing with feeding the dolphins at SeaWorld.

I would only do it again in cooler weather. We did it in July, and it was soooooo hot. The dessert showcase looked amazing, but by time we got the treats to our table--things such as chocolate and ice cream,etc...everything was melting. There was an incredible selection of desserts and fruits beautifully laid out. We had a table waiting for us that had a card with our name on it. It was a nice view of the fireworks, and I absolutely loved Tinker Bell flying over our heads. I do remember thinking that it was almost TOO sweet, and I was wanting a big bag of potato chips afterwards to balance it all out. Is it possible to have too much of a good thing? LOL. It was a nice experience, but not on the top of our "must do again" list.

We did it 2 summers ago and we did it more for the deserts than we did for the fireworks seating. That being said you are pre assigned tables so when you get there and check in, you are escorted to your table and ours just happened to be closest to the railing. There was some room between the first row of tables and the railing and a few minutes beofre it was to start alot of people from the back brought their chairs up and tried to sit by the railing, but due to some safety reason the cast members told them they couldn't sit there, but they were allowed to stand at the railing. If you are going for the food don't get there too late as we got stuck in Monsters Inc and didn't check in until 20 minutes after you were allowed too. They do not keep refilling all the different deserts the whole time you are there. They may have 3 or 4 trays of an itme and when its gone there is no more. So the first time through we took one of many things to try and then went back to get more of what we liked only to find there were no more. The cold milk they serve goes great with some of the deserts. We would not do it again as it seemes a little pricey.

We did it in feb with a toddler and it was worth every penny. Our DD got to see all the fireworks with no shoving, and the desserts were fantastic.

After running around with a kid all day getting to sit and not worry about the crowds made it well worth it.
