Aren't jorts cut-off shorts from jean pants? Not regularly made jean shorts? Where I live, no one wears anything but jean shorts.

Dang you got my crocs and socks!By the way anyone that needs to see what jolts are, just go to Old Navy they sell them and are being advertised in the windows in the ATL area.

Apparently, in the world of fashion, the 80's/90's are making a comeback.
Brightly colored pants and crazy plaids and stripes together...
This is how I feel about that: 
Jorts are okay under ONE condition: They are shorter than knee length but longer than crotch length AND they are worn by a female under the age of 30.

Denim overalls are still being sold too, but unless you are a farmer, I wouldn't advocate wearing them either.

If you go to an SEC school, you ridicule University of Florida fans who attend football games wearing jorts. This was told to me by my oldest son, who graduated from Alabama and, even today, dresses up even to watch a game at a sports bar.
On the other end of the spectrum, would I be teased for wearing coat and tails? Or would it only be acceptable if the tux were made of denim (a "jux," I suppose)?
