Sci-Fi Dinner Theatre?
Would you recommend this restaurant for lunch? Do kids (ages 5 and 8) like it? What time does this place open? I like to have the first reservation of the day?

Yes. I think it is a great lunch location with good food, nest atmosphere, and prices not that much higher than counter service. Your kids will enjoy it. I believe lunch starts at 11, but disney dining could confirm. 407 wdw dine.

We've eaten at the Sci-Fi when our daughter (now 10) was 4 and 6 and she loved it! She liked the whole concept of eating in a car with a carhop, the "stars" overhead, the food...all of it! When we asked where she would like to eat on our trip the end of this year first words out of her mouth - Sci-Fi!

DW and I ate there last 2 trips. Decent food, decent prices, at least for WDW, and great decor.

Concept is awesome. My favorite is the milk shakes. ha.
I have 2 complaints.
1. I am kind of a heavy guy. i didn't fit in very well in the booth.
2. Food wasn't as good as i hoped....maybre i was just me. it wasn't bad, just kind of blah.
but like i said, the whole concept is something kids will love,

My kids adore the cheesy atmosphere. One of their favorites. They LOVED the desserts there.

"It's snowing still," said Eeyore gloomily.
"So it is."
"And freezing."
"Is it?"
"Yes," said Eeyore. "However," he said, brightening up a little, "we haven't had an earthquake lately."

My 6yo recently told me he's not a fan of this restaurant. The rest of us LOVE it. He says the shows are a little scary and wants to know if we go back, can we ask them to change the channel. For those who've never been, this is not an option. Looks like we may not get to eat hear again for a little while.

it opens at 11am but at the 180 day mark the best i could get was 11:10am...
You definitely go for the atmosphere but the new combined menu is pretty good. My DW and I split Onion Rings, that Double burger and cosimic brownie for dessert.
