    Default Any rides for us?

We are looking to do a day at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Last time we were at US was September 2004. Never been to IOA.

But when we go to Disney we go on rides such as; Great Movie Ride at DHS, Nemo at EPCOT and Haunted Mansion to name a few. Yes, very easy going rides, since I am the type to get sick on the plane, sometimes. I even had "sea legs" after our last cruise. I know I sound like a bundle of health.

But based on that scenario, what rides at US/IOA would be suitable? If any...Or are these places too much for us.

And once the sickness subsides, what places are good for a nice sit down meal.

Been a long time since we were there, but we loved ET best! I do remember a lot of intense rides, but I enjoyed them. I don't remember too many easy going rides, other than ET.

Also, as we were leaving the ride, we were talking about how much we loved it. One of the castmembers heard us and escorted us back to ride again! This has never happened to me at Disney!

So how was ET? Seems it should be tame. I remember Twister, some type of Earthquake ride and something with Jaws. Will have to see if any of those are still around.

Earthquake has been re-themed and renamed to Disaster which themes it so that you are on a soundstage for a movie. It has a couple new things in the pre and post shows but it basically is the same ride. ET is a fun little ride, although a few times it feels like you are going up high in the air. Twister and Jaws both haven't changed much if at all in the last few years.

Shrek is a 4-D theater show, much like Philharmagic. Men in Black is alot like Buzz but a better version of it (Although it does spin around pretty fast a couple of times), The Simpsons Ride is a simulator so I don't know how you react to those. Besides those, that's about it for the Studios...

Over at Islands, doesn't sound like you would like much. Poseidon's Fury is a very cool walk through attraction that is a show around you (I might add that this won't be around much longer when they expand the Harry Potter land). The Cat in the Hat is a dark ride like those in Fantasyland.

    Hope this helped...

Yes, that was very helpful! Glad to see "Earthquake" has just been refurbished, but is technically still there. Sounds like I may be able to do ET, may be looking into that a bit more. But Jaws & Twister, definites! Shrek is also doable, but MIB, another one to look closer at. Simpsons ride, probably not.

At Island will do Poseidon, while it is still there. And of course gotta at least see HP!

Again, Thank You and Congrats Intercot Staffee!

This is not the RR or ToT but it's not the JC or HM either. You may have a problem with this, but if you can do it then Spiderman and the Simpsons will be OK for you too.

The Studio: A hidden gem is the Hollywood Horror Make-Up Show. The Terminator is a one of a kind show! Shrek 4D, ET, Jaws, MIB, Twister, Disaster. You should be OK with all of these.

IOA: This is harder. Anything in Seuss Landing, the SinBAD Show, Posiden's Fury (I really like this show), can you do water rides??

We really like Finnegans in the Studio. IOA has Blondies which had good quick sanwiches. You MUST go into the sandwich shop in the Studios. They have the best cheesecakes! Very creamy.
