    Mar. 27, 1961 – The “Snow White Grotto” opened on the outside of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland.
    Mar. 27, 1970 – Actress Elizabeth Mitchell, Mrs. Claus/Carol Calvin in Disney’s 2006 live-action feature “The Santa Claus 3: The Escape Claus,” was born in Los Angeles, Ca. She first played Santa’s wife in the 2002 “The Santa Claus 2: The Mrs. Clause.”
    Mar. 27, 1985 – Legendary actor Bob Hope was on hand for Disney-MGM’s official groundbreaking on a 135-acre plot of land located one mile southwest of Epcot.
    Mar. 27, 1987 – Disney’s (unsold pilot) television movie “Waco & Rhinehart” aired on ABC.
    Mar. 27, 1988 – Actress, singer, and producer Brenda Song was born in Carmichael, Ca. She is known for her role of the spoiled heiress London Tipton on Disney Channel’s “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Song also starred in the 2006 “Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior” (one of the highest viewed Disney Channel movies, with over 5.7 million viewers on the night of its premiere). She is also part of the Disney Channel Circle of Stars, a music group that sings Disney songs.
    Mar. 27, 1989 – The “Walt Disney World Casting Center” building opened.
    Mar. 27, 1994 – Disney’s 2-hour TV movie “The Corpse Had a Familiar Face” aired on CBS.
    Mar. 27, 1995 – Elton John and Tim Rice won an Oscar at the 67th Academy Awards for Best Song, “Can You Feel The Love Tonight”, from Disney’s “The Lion King”.
    Mar. 27, 1998 – The Disney film “Meet the Deedles” was released.
    Mar. 27, 1999 – The E.P. Ripley, Disneyland’s Railroad Steam Engine #2 was totally restored and rededicated.
