I have eaten at both of them and thought both were awful If I had to eat at one again I think Mama Melrose is the the better of the 2 If you really want Itailian I would go to Via Napoli in Epcot.

I've eaten at both and I would go with Mama Melrose's. We love Tony's too, but I think Mama Melrose's is just a better overall restaurant.

We've had mixed experiences at both. However, of the two, I prefer Mama Melrose's.

Mama Melrose is better, than the other.

Mama Melrose is sooo much better than Tony's. We were a group of 6 and none of us liked the meal at Tony's.

Have to agree with the vast majority of posters here. Mama Melrose's is definitely the better option.

We honestly do not like the food at either location, but the atmosphere and service at Tony's would sway me that way (My children would not eat the pasta at Mama Melrose). I have heard that the steak at Tony's is quite good, though I have not tried it myself. If I really wanted Italian, I think I would venture over to Il Mulino instead.

I've eaten at Mama Melrose's three times and Tony's twice and can honestly say that I would never go back to Tony's. The service and food were sub-par, IMO. Some people don't care for Mama Melrose's either, but we like it, especially the calamari and eggplant.

We love tonys!
Via Napoli is amazing too! Try it! The pizza is big enough for 2!
-
As you can see, this one really is personal preference.
We're a Tony's family. Our 1 trip to Mama Melrose's was a total disaster, once of the worst meals we've ever had at Disney (poor service, blah food). Tony's has always been good for us .

if your looking for fun italien definatly go to via napolia in the Italy pavilion. I tried both mm and Tony's. i thought tonys was a more fun atmosphere, not the most amazing italien food but definatly good! just not as good as via napoli. Mama Melrose has great calamari. Via Napoli has the best pizza though!!!!!
