Mar. 3, 1983 – The “Buena Vista Palace” Hotel opened at Lake Buena Vista at WDW.
Mar. 3, 1983 – The Epcot attraction “Journey Into Imagination” opened to guests at WDW. (It would close in 1998 only to reopen in 1999.)
Mar. 3, 1984 – The Disney Channel TV series “The Edison Twins” debuted.
Mar. 3, 1990 – The Disney television series “Carol & Co.” began airing on NBC-TV. (Ended Aug. 19, 1991)
Mar. 3, 1995 – “Indiana Jones Adventure, Temple of the Forbidden Eye” attraction opened at Disneyland’s Adventureland.
Mar. 3, 1995 – The Lion King became the top-selling home video of all time selling over 30 million copies, passing out the record set in 1994 by Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Mar. 3, 1995 – The Disney film “Man of the House” was released.
Mar. 3, 1995 – The Disney/Hollywood Picture film “Roommates” was released.
Mar. 3, 1999 – Shania Twain’s TV special “Winter Break” aired featuring Elton John which they both sang “Amneris Letter” from Disney’s “Aida”.
Mar. 3, 2000 – The 11th Annual “Mardi Gras” celebration began at Pleasure Island in WDW. (5-day event)
