Default irish pub in dtd on st. patricks day

i just thought this was interesting but i tried to get my family a dining reservation for st. patricks day when were down there and found that there were no reservations available all day. yet any other day during the week we could get a reservation. i guess i should have tried earlier but as some advice if your trying to do this same thing some other year book earlier.

It's a very popular restaurant. Never been I don't find much need to get down to DTD anymore.

I read something saying they notified everyone with ressies on St Patty's day they had to cancel them. Not sure if they are closing for a private event or what they were told.

We made ADRs for St. Patrick's Day for dinner at Raglan Road at the 180 day mark. We were notified several months ago that our reservations had been cancelled because of a "special event" that was being held there that night. Very disappointed.

From what I understand, Raglan Road will be open on St. Patrick's Day, but it's not taking reservations. I read that there will be a cover charge to enter the restaurant, and I suspect there will be a special holiday menu.

I could be completely wrong, but that's what I have heard.
