    I agree with Faline (Linda).
    Don't believe everything you read!!
Just do your diligence and check the beds. WDW certainly is on top of the increasing bed bug problem in the United States, and they are going to be extra diligent to not let a problem get out of control.

I totally agree and normally take half of what's reported as true. Since I just had friend down there and she saw some I was a bit worried. Disney is one place I actually feel comfortable in eliminating the problem quickly and efficiently. Thanks for all your help can't wait to go 22 days!!!!!!

.....I must say...that all the hysteria...for lack of a better term...that's associated with the "bed-bug epidemic"....is pretty much at this point...a topic of amusement for me...like Y2K was.

....I admit this is a problem that needs some attention...but this is WDW....not a Super-8 ( and I do not mean to totally malaign all their motels...since I stayed in one in Cocoa, Fl...and it was okay)

.....I would almost be willing to bet that their housekeeping staff has been instructed to check for bed-bugs with every cleaning run.

Yes I agree, I am more confident in Disney keeping up with this than other hotels

Believe it or not, If you are really that concerned about this critters, just Google "bed-bug detector", and you can find easy instructions to build your own. Seriously!

Or you could worry about something far more dangerous. Like crossing the street.

I know, I know, A lot of people are just grossed out by the thought of bugs of any kind. My wife is one of them. But the fact is, the handrails at every WDW queue are covered with much more dangerous bugs. Nobody seem to worry too much about those, except the true germaphobes.

I have only heard of the black light being used for body fluid detection around the room as seen on shows like 20/20. I don't think I would want to know the results from that........
    I agree

Actually, hotels with lots of foreign visitors tend to be the hardest hit. (Disney definitely fits into this category.) It has nothing to do with quality of the hotel unfortunately.

That being said, I don't let it hinder my plans or really give it much thought except for a quick bed check when I get to the hotel.
