Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit Open?

I'm going to US this weekend and I have yet to go on Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. I know it was down for a refurbishment last month but does anyone know if it's open again?

According to Universal, it's closed "indefinitely".

The ride manufacturer, essentially, issued a recall on the train cars, citing failure of the coupling component to withstand normal wear and tear over an extended period of time.

The ride will be closed for awhile, I assume.

When I spoke to customer service this week they told me the same thing. I was asking about which attractions didn't take the Express Pass and she told me HP and the Forbidden Journey and one other attraction that is going to be down for a while and it was the rollercoaster.

I would not count on Rip, Ride 'n Rockit to be open anytime before Thanksgiving. It's possible but doesn't look likely.

Apparently it has now re-opened.

Thanks Melanie, we are headed down in two weeks, and were hoping it would be open! Looks like a lot of fun!

Great news, I hope it stays open. We'll be down at US and IOA for a couple of days in November. I rode RRR several times this past May, and it is a lot of fun.
