    Default Flame Tree opening!

We were in DW last week, and on our first trip to the Animal Kingdom, Flame Tree was closed for refurbishment. I knew it was scheduled to be opening, just not sure when. We went back to AK on our last day, and what a wonderful surprise. It was the grand opening. We were there for all the festivities. Not to mention we had a very yummy lunch!

They did, and the best part was, we walked by there and the man told us they would be opening up in about a "Half hour." We decided to go do TTBAB and then come back. When we got back, there were two families waiting. Well, when it came time to open, they introduced the FIRST family and gave them a certificate, then they did a whole ceremony before opening. It was kind of cool to be there, since it is our favorite counter service in all the world! The nice thing about the new version is, they have all the sauces, napkins, etc, at each of their table sections. It was kind of rough with only the one little counter in the past.

They are definitely still there. If they are fed, there are obviously more of them, but there were still some. I had a duck come put his little head right on my lap. They certainly aren't afraid of people.

DS was down in the world in August and was very disapointed that it was closed. I would have been heartbroken. I love that place.
