Disneyland park hopper/EVC question

I would imagine that this has been asked before...
My boss is going to Anaheim for a couple days and he said that if i wanted i could tag along, use his car and hotel, and visit disneyland.
I'm pretty sure there is a park hopper for Disneyland, right?
but i was wondering if we rent the evc from Disneyland, can we also use it for both parks since they are so close? i know you can't at disneyworld, but wondering what the policy at disneyland is...,

Yes. You can use the ECV at both parks. And yes you can get park hopper tickets. The ECV rentals are outside the parks next to the kennel on the East side of the esplanade.

If you are looking at Disneyland entrance, it is to your right. You can park hop with the ECV's with the exception of leaving the esplanade to go into Downtown Disney and from DCA into the Grand California Hotel.
