    Default Crowds and weather?

Has anyone been to Disneyland recently? My sisters and I are trying to throw together a trip the end of April or beginning of May. It's been so long since I've been there in the spring. What are the crowds like? What is the weather like? We will be going on a Saturday-Tuesday. Thanks in advance!

The weather is fairly nice. Day time is usually in the 70's (maybe into the 80"s). It does cool down at night time. We do get the May Gray.... overcast in the am/sunny in the afternoon.

The crowds are not too bad. Weekends you will see a lot more of the locals and AP's. I use the fastpasses so I don't really notice the crowds. Except if I am trying to get out before/during/or after fireworks. We also tend to eat early to avoid the lunch and dinner time lines. If I am eating in DL in the evening I will make ADR for Carnation Cafe on Main Street, or eat at the Plaza Inn before the parade (no crowds). After the parade the place is packed.d

    Hope this helps a bit

Thanks! That helps a lot! I know in the spring, weather can always be a bit iffy. I will pack a little mixture so I can layer if needed!

We are already mentally preparing ourselves for the weekend crowds. I used to always go for weekend trips and remember Saturdays were pretty crowded. We got spoiled on our December trip to Disney World and had hardly any wait times! But we will have Monday and part of Tuesday to hopefully enjoy some less crowded park time!

Last spring was unseasonably cool, and that lasted well into the summer. Highs were only in the 60s', from what I recall, for much of April and May.

This year is shaping up to be similar. It has been unseasonably cool again this year. Temps are averaging about 5-10 degrees below "normal". Rainfall is up as well.

I'd expect temps in the 60-70 range. Possible rain. Bring pants and long sleeves, and rain gear.

Thanks BrerGnat! I wouldn't mind a little rain, I hear the parks clear out a bit! I will plan for layers and some cooler temps. I didn't realize it's been rainy lately, very good to know! Of course that means I'll pack my Mickey panchos from a couple of years ago

You're welcome! It's supposed to rain for three days next week (Tues-Thurs), and we've only had a handful of days in the past month where the temps exceeded 75.

The parks DO clear out pretty well when there is rain in the forecast. I, for one, stay home! FYI, the walking paths at Disneyland park get VERY slippery in the rain. Much of the paths are those tiny rocks embedded in the concrete, and they get very slick. Make sure you have some shoes with adequate grip if there is rain in the forecast!
