Default The price of a Churro? UP!

For those of you that can't get enough of this sweet treat at Disneyland, the price was raised from $3 each to $3.50 each.

I know that there are TONS of churro fans here and wanted to post about the change, figuring that it would be earth shattering news to some.

Apparently it went up a couple of months ago...

I'd pay upwards of $10 for one if I had to.

Okay - explain churros to me. Never heard of 'em! I googled them and they sound kind of doughnut-y? Which reminds me - are they anything like Beignets? I've never tried those either, and I'm wondering if the ones at Cafe Orleans are good.

A churro is a tube shaped pastry deep fried and rolled in cinnamon and sugar served with some type of sauce. I don't care for the Disney version, but the real version made fresh, and served with a rich chocolate dipping sauce is incredible. Vendors on the streets in Spain fry them up right there and they are tasty treat. The Disney ones are too crunchy and dry for me, but they have a LOT of fans on this board!

    Here are pics:

Beignets are a pastry made from deep-fried dough and sprinkled with confectioner's sugar, is a kind of French doughnut. I have not had the ones at Disney, but the ones served at the Cafe DuMonde in New Orleans are fantastic!

I thought that churros were also available in WDW. I tried my 1st churro last August on my 1st visit to DL. I would prefer them to be cooked more as I wasn't really fond of the doughie inside. I am pretty sure that I posted a picture of my churro's insides in one of my trip reports from last Aug.
