Default Disney movie remakes and sequels

Hey everyone. This is my first time posting on the Intercot forums. Okay so Disney has released a remake of the Witch Mountain movies and a sequel to Tron, released in 1982, is in the works. A few months ago there was news that a remake of Flight of the Navigator will be made. I wanted to get everyones opinions on remakes and sequels to classic Disney movies. Do you think they should be made or left alone?

Speaking of Flight of the Navigator, if you want to know what happened to Joey Cramer, the star of the movie, look him up on Wikipedia.

    to Intercot!

I think there are so many stories and ideas in the world, that new movies should be made, instead of as many sequels and remakes.

But, they are cheaper, and people go see them, so Disney will keep making them.

I think it can work in some cases. For example, I love the remake of The Parent Trap almost as much as the original. To me, they're completely different movies.
