Fast Pass with a large group

I am sure this has been asked before, but with a group of 12 this year, I am trying to plan the best way to get around the parks. Could one of the early risers go into the park with all 12 of the tickets and get a fast pass before the rest of us get there or will they not work until it is swiped at the entrance gates? Thanks!

Sorry, it is a great idea, but the tickets have to be used for admission at the gate before they can be used for a FP.

Once everyone is in the park though, there can be a "runner" who takes all of the tickets and gets the FP's.

Correct, the ticket must be used for admission at the park that contains the attraction you are attempting to get a Fast Pass for.

Having a runner once everyone is there is fine and usually appreciated at the distibution centers. Nothing worse than 12 people standing in a line to swipe one ticket through. Although maybe stepping in behind the person whose getting tickets for 12 other people! hehe
