D23 Expo ticket question

I'm a bit confused about the discounted D23 Expo tickets.

I am a D23 member, and when I went to purchase by Expo ticket, the site said that I could buy up to 4 discounted tickets per membership.

I will be going to the Expo with a friend who is not a D23 member. If I buy two discounted tickets (one for me and one for my friend), does my friend also have to be a D23 member?

Anyone can go to the D23 Expo ... D23 members get a discount on 4 tickets, but you don't have to be a D23 member to use them, so you can absolutely get your friend a ticket using your discount! Have a great time and be sure and do a trip report ... there's a lot of us that won't be able to attend but we would LOVE details!

That was my understanding as well that you can use the discounted ticket for your friend who is not a D23 member.
