Crazy crowded today - anyone know why?

Hey all,

We went up to Disneyland today and it was super crowded! It was so crowded that they stopped charging for parking at DtD and the Mickey & Friends structure.

Anyone know why it was so crowded?

that's weird...but I'm sort of glad I didn't go. I was going to take my kids today, but inexplicably, my 4 year old did NOT want to go, and started crying when I told him we were going to Disneyland.

Wonder what was up with the crowds? The only thing I can think is that it was the first weekend of Food & Wine Festival at DCA...

I too am wondering why so many are in the Disneyland Resort. I called yesterday to make reservations for Wednesday and Thursday of this week. I called two hotels directly across from Disneyland on Harbor only to find out that they are sold out. Conventions, Grad. Nights...??
