Da Bears get Cutler
Wow, way to go bears.
2 1st round draft picks, 1 OK QB (probably not a bad backup) and you get a QB with quite an arm, a little bravado (ok Maybe a lot "I have a better arm than ELWAY") and who is still quite young.
I think the Bears have legitimatly moved up in their division, and could be a major contender for the big game.
So my question-
Who made out better (Long & short term)
Bears
Broncos
and why ?

Short term - Bears.
Long term - Broncos.
Honestly, I can't believe the Bears gave up as much as they did. They traded two #1 draft picks, a 3rd round pick, and a serviceable quarterback for a good quarterback and a 5th round pick.
That's crazy. Cutler's good, but he's not worth that much. The Bears need more help than just QB and now they're without 1st rounders for the next two years.
I will, however, give them credit for making the kind of bold move my Eagles would never make.

Kinda sounds like Ditka's move for for the Ricky Williams pick in New Orleans 10 years ago. We all know how that worked out for him, LOL !!!

Agreed. Gave up way to much for a thin-skinned QB who won't have the receivers in Chicago that he had Denver.

Cutler couldn't get the Broncos to the playoffs and they are a better team than the Bears. He has a lot to prove as far as leadership, and for a QB, leadership is all there is. The Bears gave up an awful lot to get him. I think in the long run, it will help Denver immensely!

Cutler started whining and complaining when Shanahan was fired. Good Arm, lousy attitude!
No matter how good he is, until he matures, he is going to have problems no matter where he goes!
Denver is better off without him. All the he said/he said stuff with the new coach was accomplishing nothing. They were both in the wrong.

Bears gave up way too much. 2 first rounders for a guy who wasn't going to play for Denver at all. They had Orton. They could've waited. It sound like anyone else was really interested.
This will push the Bears back a few years. Do the Bears realize they need receivers? Put that real nice car in the garage but never put any gas in it. Denver will make out like bandits once they get all these draft choices.
