Smile Tell Ya' What I'm Gonna' Do...

OK, so today was T-90 days and counting. I made the call @ 7:00am. Not bad, only waited 10 minutes. Fantasmic Dinner Package and Le Cellier were booked on the first days I picked. So now I'm scrambling. Quick, Plan B (oh no, I don't have a Plan B).

After moving 2 from column A and one from column B, I consulted the Magic 8-Ball.

I had the ADRs wrapped up in 20 minutes. Let me know what you think…

    Teppan Edo – 8:30pm
    Spirit of Aloha – 8:00pm
    Ohana – 6:35pm
    Le Cellier – 8:55pm
    Boma – 5:10pm
    Mama Melrose/Fantasmic – 3:55pm

I’m not happy with the Spirit of Aloha ADR. They are category 3 seats (that’s all they had on multiple days). I don’t mind the late Epcot ADRs. I like leaving the park after if closes. Boma’s time is fine. Maybe we can see some animals before it gets dark.

These are all first time visits for us, so we’re really excited.

You picked some good ones! Glad you were able to shift things around and get what you wanted. Have a great trip!

Looks great. I just want to throw this out there. It was our first trip to the Spirit of Aloha last year. It cost us two TS's. We were so disappointed. The cat. 3 seats were not good and we didn't like the food either. The show is very long and we have a 2 and 5 year old at the time. They got restless and didn't want to stay. I just wanted to post that since you said it was your first. Regardless....have fun!!!

They sound great! I gotta admit, though, I wasn't thrilled w/the Aloha show either. If you're looking for a good dinner show, you might consider the Hoop-De-Doo. We have seen that show on EVERY trip we've made since 1974, and still love it as much today! Good food and lots of it, and corney but fun show.

I have to agree with the others - you're plans sound fantastic....although Spirit of Aloha is not all it's cracked up to be....I would suggest spending that resi elsewhere - such as Coral Reef, Rose & Crown (illuminations dining), or Marrakesh (Belly Dancing show!)....just my

Enjoy! It can be frustrating to not get your first picks. I'm glad you were able to work around it.

We're going to stick with the luau. We're staying at the Poly for the first time and I can't imagine not doing the show. I've called a couple more time go try to get better seats, but no luck. I'll keep trying..

If it's to dark to see the animals after Boma, look for the night vision goggles area. I think it started at 8pm and we loved doing it

Ohana and Teppan Edo are 2 that I really enjoy. I've never heard anything good about Spirit of Aloha, so I've been nervous to try it. You'll have to post a review and let us know. Have a good time!

The only thing I can say is that I would not waste my time at LeCellier, but that is me. I was not impressed at all with the place. I'm in the minority here though (I think). I'd rather go to the Biergarten and see the show and have some decent food there (I might be in the minority here too).

As for Teppan Edo -- you are gonna love it!!! It's fun and the food is good. If you have kids -- they are gonna love it!!

Ohana is always fun. We've only had b-fast there though, but I've been to Kona for dinner and Ohana is always jumpin'!

Boma has some different flavors and I think people either like it or hate it -- no fence sitters usually. Plus you can explore the lodge and all it's little offerings. Maybe you can check out animals with NVG's or catch a lecture from one of the CM's (they are interesting and informative even for kids!)

I can't comment on SoA or Mama's though -- we've not been there.

Le Cellier is excellent. GReat food and nice break from the park.
    Ohana is fun.
Boma is one of my favorites. Even if you don't love the food it is such a beautiful resort to explore and enjoy. I love the food and my picky eaters are able to find "plain" food they like too. The gift shop in this resort is fun too.
Don't know about the others. I hope the Luau is fun. Since you are at the Poly I can understand why you'd want to get into the spirit!
I couldn't get Fantasmic at all! Glad you are getting to see it!

The only question I would have would be whether you want to see Illuminations or not. For us, it's a must-do.

Otherwise, sounds great! Have a magical trip!

I hope you either have ressies during an EMH night, or have your own car. We ate at LeCellier two years ago and had 8:40 ressies. However, they were running behind and we did not get seated until almost 9:30. By the time we finished dinner and got to the bus stop in front of the park, the last bus for POP had already left.

Fortunately, there was one last bus going to CBR and the driver was kind enough to take us back to POP after he dropped them off, but it still did not get us back to the hotel until after midnight.

If there is one that you had your heart set on, try again! I had never been to the Luau (Aloha), so I really wanted to go. I kept calling, and calling. Then I gave up. Then I thought, ok, no giving up and I tried again. We ended up getting category 1 seating on the day and time that we wanted. Disney Magic I tell you. Good luck!
