Default Disney March Madness Bambi vs Robin Hood

So will the streak of higher seeds continue? Can the underdogs from Sherwood defeat the Bambi attack!

So far the favorites have dominated.

Bambi (1942) Although it lost money in its initial release Bambi is considered a giant among the Disney classics. Re-released numerous times, and earning some major kudos. Bambi recieved a bye in round one.

Robin Hood (1973) This sometimes "buried classic" earned more money for Disney at the box office than any of the Disney films that went before during initial release. Robin Hood defeated Slaudos Amigos in round one.

Bye the way I forgot to set the time limit on this one. Poll closes in the books at least on Friday night midnight (eastern time zone).

Oh my gosh, Bambi all the way! I cry every time and I love "April Showers".

Robin Hood is a favorite of mine but up against Bambi, I have to choose Bambi...

I normaly keep my comments neutral on these posts, but I have to chime in here.

Since the format is vote for your favorite and not "bigger Disney film" I voted for Robin Hood. I just think the cast is one of the best and its a much more enjoyable film. In fact it may be my favorite, so I am rooting for the first true upset, even though I do like Bambi.

Bambi, I have fond memories of trickling water over the twins heads in the bath while singing "Drip, drip, drop little april showers" as they laugh.

My first Disney movie, saw it in re-release in (probably) 1975 when I was about 6.

I am still impressed with the animation of the animals, especially for the times.
The only life I can think of that would be worse than being a special needs mom is not being one...

Tough choice! They're both so good. Bambi is a sentimental favorite, but it does drag in places. Robin Hood is a fun movie throughout. Ah, but then, the highly emotional response to Bambi and his mother win out for me. Second only to Mrs. Jumbo's Baby Mine scene in Dumbo for emotional pull in a Disney animated movie. Those scenes get me crying every time!

Bambi is sweet but I prefer the fun and frollic of Robin Hood. It is a great movie and a lot of fun to watch. Bambi has its endearing moments but brings too much sadness with it.

Wow what a tough call. Really close it seems. But I love both for two seperate reasons. But to this day Bambi still makes me cry. So I have to go with that one. It is yet another one of my favorites.

Bambi over Robin Hood? Really Bambi is so depressing. Robin Hood is so fun.

Bambi got my vote. Saw in theater re-release of course in '70's. Even though its sad its a good movie. Yes even better than Robin Hood (in my opinion)

I voted Robin Hood because its has more of a story to it but Bambi is more classical. It was tough.

All right, a good matchup in round two at last. Robin Hood needs to play catch up to make it past the tough little deer. Vote for your favorite.

Cast my vote for Robin Hood. Bambi will always be a classic, however, RH is such a fun film.
