Favre should just go away. It's all about him and what personal records he can set. The only one he doesn't have is Jim Marshall's consecutive games played...He is a self-centered, egotistical pompous player who's main concern is himself. I am a Packer fan, and was a Favre fan. He should have gotten on his tractor and ridden off into the sunset after the Giants NFC title game.

    Thumbs down

You know even if I thought it was only about personal records I'd be more okay with it.

But who's kidding who? He wants to come back to the Vikings so he can play the Packers twice this season and exact some kind of twisted "revenge" on them for letting him go.

He's incapable of dealing with the fact that the Packers moved on from him. He's a childish, immature, self-centered moron.

I really don't know what my Vikes are thinking even considering trying to get Favre, we really don't need another Quaterback that can throw tons of interceptions.

    I have to say,
I doubt the arm is ready. Not for a season.

He cant stay away from the game.
Its sad in some way.Like the only thing he can really do is tarnish (further) his reputation.

As far as reasons- It goes back to teams ignoring anything but percieved talent. I mean in a different thread Ian pointed out that the jets must have been desperate to trade so much away to get Sanchez. Comparitivly speaking, How desperate are the Vikings ?

Favre cannot last another season. The pounding on the field takes its toll. For as long as he has been out there- there is no way he can last an entire season as a starter.

I have admired Farve for along time in his playing days with the Packers ....

However i must say for all his money and records etc... Farve unfortunatley cant buy class and dignity now

He's turning into a sad joke now ..... what a shame

Statistically he is the best qb Green Bay ever had. But, he doesn't belong on the same field as Bart Starr. the most successful and classy qb in the history of the franchise. Favre blew any chances to stand along side Mr. Starr with all of his antics the last few years. It's too bad he will be remembered for the last couple years of his career and his declining game, rather than retiring after leading the Pack to the NFC title game.

I'm a Packer fan and I'm a Favre fan, the man just wants to play football. I don't really think he cares about anymore records, I do, however think he's holding a grudge against the Packers management for letting him go. Maybe what it's going to take is the Pack wipping his a$$ a couple of times on the field this year to send him off on his tractor into the sunset. All will be forgotten in a few years when he shows up at Lambeau when they retire his jersey and as he enters the hall of fame as a PACKER !!

I'll admit that I've never been a Favre fan, but I do recognize his talent.

However, IMHO the past two off seasons have ruined his reputation. He's trying to hang on for the wrong reasons, and this is what everyone (outside GB) is going to remember.

He's become a punch line, and it's sad. Just go home, and wait for you HOF induction.

It's not talk anymore, the circus has just pulled into town, have fun with it. He really pulled the Jets players & team together last year.

More like he really pulled a fast one on the Jets. $10 mil for one more year with the Vikings, sweet!

Seriously? He just needs to go away. I'm sick and tired of hearing about him.

Something for Vikings Fans to Remember!

Favre last season had a one to one interception to TD ratio!! 22 TD's and 22 INT's!! That's horrendous!

Heeheeee.... imagine poor Ian's blood pressure if the Vikings, QB'ed by Favre, played the Eagles, QB'ed by Vick.

    And the Vikings WON !
