Default Have I missed the boat or what?

I don't know if I have missed something, so let me know if I am wrong.

Today while taking with a co-worker I was explaining to him that in 23 days I will be in DW for another visit.

He looked at me suprised saying " Do you realize that you are going to miss the super bowl. And I responded I guess.

    Now the question.

    Which would you rather do?

    1. Go to Disney World and visit the mouse.

    2. Stay at home and watch the Super Bowl.

That's an easy one.....IF you wanted to watch the SuperBowl WHILE you were at WDW you could easily do so I'm sure.....so I'd go to WDW for sure!!!! (depends on if Pittsburgh makes it there if I'd watch while I was there or not!)

My team's not in it this year, so I could easily skip. But even if they were, I would still go to WDW and watch it there... or not. WDW definitely beats one day of football and ads, even if it is incredible football.

Why not do both? I would! I'd spend much of the day at the parks but find a lounge for the game - or return to my room if the lounges are crowded.

I would definitely go to WDW. And if my team were in the Superbowl I would watch it there. Otherwise, I wouldn't care.

Well, if the choice was something like 'Donate a kidney to a very close loved one in need or go to Walt Disney World', then it might be a tough decision. If the choice is go to WDW or watch some football game that could easily be TiVo'd (or even watched in virtually any bar in the country), then there's really no choice...

We'll be ending our trip on Superbowl Sunday. My team didn't make it in. We'll find it on the radio for the 10 hr trip back home and just not worry about it. It will be rehashed over and over again for a while.

My son was born around Super Bowl time. During my Lamaze (sp) class they asked all the fathers what there fears were. I was in shock when several of the fathers said my wife going into labor during the Super Bowl. Thank goodness my husband was not one of those fathers!

    No contest....Disney World!

That's what DVR's and TiVo are for. I could check my iPhone periodically for the score throughout the game while enjoying a park. Then, if my team loses, I didn't waste precious WDW time to watch the game. And, if they win, I can look forward to watching the game at home when we get back.

Granted, I'm not a fan of football, but I still root for the Eagles. I might feel different if I were a big fan, but I doubt it because I am a huge racing fan (Dale Earnhardt Jr. ), and I wouldn't miss any park time for the Superbowl of Racing (the Daytona 500). I'd DVR it, and watch when I get home.

Yikes-I guess there are more Disney fans than pro football fans. If it makes you feel beter, I usually go to WDW in October and I always pick the week of Alabama's Bye.

BTW-Isn't the Super Bowl being played only an hour away from WDW. You could always skip the park that day and drive down to tailgate.
Here you leave Today and enter the World of Yesterday, Tomorrow, and Fantasy

    Next Trip-February 5th-16th! Happy V-day to me!
